Mendocino Fine Art Ornament
An ode to my home state. This year’s theme is a California Christmas—she is vast, beautiful, and endlessly diverse. I’ve lived in so many pockets along this western coastline, and each one has left its mark on me. It’s been nearly eight years since I last painted architecture (a little series of Golden Gate Bridges!), and it felt like the right time to revisit my love for early California buildings—while honoring the places that remain in their raw, natural glory.
There is only one ornament of each location.
Each piece in this new 3” series features an iconic California spot, painted slowly and intentionally with the tiniest of brushes. Every ornament takes around four hours to complete, which is why I was only able to create a small handfulthis year.
I added a soft gold trim as a nod to early Victorian-era California, when many of our most beloved landmarks came to life. The back of each ornament carries a pattern inspired by the location, giving the whole piece its own little world.
Crafted from paper mâché, painted in acrylic, and sealed with a protective varnish, each ornament is finished with a hand-dyed silk ribbon and a hook. And because every single one is truly one-of-a-kind, it comes with its own Certificate of Authenticity.
A tiny, artful treasure for your tree, your home, or someone who loves this coast as much as I do.
Ships in 5–7 business days.
