Redefining Self-Care 2024

I must be honest with you… 2023 was not my best garden year. Now to me, gardening is not a competition, in fact it is more spiritual than anything. However, I did not tend to the garden this year as frequently and with intentionality as I have in years past.

Yet she still FLOURISHED!

Plants are incredibly resilient. I learn from these stoic Beings daily, even the weeds pushing through the concrete.

As the 2024 is just around the corner I’ve realized that in addition to the usual “self-care” and “health” priorities so many of us take on come January 1st (as I will too), we should also add in “Earth-care”. The land is the source of our foods, medicines, and shelter after all. How can we care for ourselves if not for her?

So are you with me? Here’s to taking care of the Earth as an extension of our own bodies come the New Year! We are all gardeners in a way, might as well embrace it!

Much love,

Michaela
