What’s Blooming in My Garden This Spring
“A little madness in the Spring is wholesome even for the King.” - Emily Dickinson
To be honest, gardening took a bit of a back seat this year in the lineup of creative priorities.
If you didn’t know, I’ve been illustrating my very first children’s book (more on that soon), creating art for three different art fairs in less than a year, teaching several painting workshops, and launching Atelier Privé.
So yes—the garden has been a little overlooked.

But plants are incredible. The deep roots of roses and spring bulbs still find water and grow, even when I’ve barely tended to them.
This post includes a few of my spring harvests so far—some expected, some I had forgotten I planted. Every year comes with its own challenges and surprises in the garden.

Still, year after year, it feeds me. And I hope in turn, I offer something back to the land.
If you’ve been waiting for a sign to start a garden, or return to one—this is it.
